Ancillary Task - Magazine Advert

When creating the advert we used conventions which are normally included in real media posters for music single/album releases. These conventions consisted of a relevant background to artist, digi pack design and the music, record label logo, the name of the artist, the date of release, title of the song and the picture of the CD cover.
We planned the advert out on paper before we started to make the advert, this helped us collect all our ideas and how we were going layout the advert.

For the advert we took photos of our female actor who featured in the music video for the back ground keeping it relevant to the other ancillary task and music video. We used similar imagery to the digi pack design so they could link between one another and kept the theme of the natural surroundings and honesty throughout the productions.

The branding font we used for our artist name was "Bush Scrpt MT" this brand name for the artist features on the digi pack as well as the advert, for identification for the fans.
Bellow are two images of the paper planned advert and the advert in the making when we were creating and editing the advert to make it as profession as we can. There was a porblem with the record label logo we could not figure out how to get rid of the whiteness around the song music logo, so we have just had to make do with what we could create.

Bellow is the image of our finalised advert, apart from the song music logo, we think our advert has been successfully created and links well with the digi pack and the music video, which is what we were aiming to achieve. As you can see for the song title and the release date information the font has been written in "Opus Plainchords" which also features in the digi pack.
